The injury bug bit on the UFC in the butt today as Rory MacDonald is from the UFC 158 matchup with Carlos Condit because of a neck injury suffered in training. In MacDonald’s spot steps Johny Hendricks, and he will fight with Condit in the new three-round co-main event of this day. The news was originally reported by MMAjunkie.com’s John Morgan. Together with the switcheroo — which is very disappointing to all viewing as though Condit vs. MacDonald was an early favorite to win”Fight of the Night” — Jake Ellenberger, who had been set to fight Hendricks, is abandoned without an opponent, though it’s rumored Tyron Woodley could choose the fight on short notice. Anticipate the MMA chances for Hendricks vs. Condit to be somewhat aggressive, though Hendricks will probably be a tiny favorite due to his wrestling edge. Jansen vs. Held Postponed Again An accident to Marcin Held has forced the postponement of his Bellator Season 7 Lightweight Tournament Final from Dave Jansen for the second time, according to a report from MMAjunkie.com. The lightweights were set to meet at Bellator 84 but the Athletic Commission wouldn’t allow Held, who was 20 at the moment, to enter the casino and the fight was scratched in the last moment. The rain date, that was set to take place was rearranged too, and both will meet at Bellator 93.
